Cumberland Mall finished its multi-million dollar, Extreme Mall Makeover in the summer of 2007. In the winter of 2006, a new 77,000 square foot lifestyle, pedestrian friendly streetscape, with open-air plaza complete with fountains was unveiled. An array of new dining options are now open, including Maggiano's Little Italy, The Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Ted's Montana Grille and Stoney River Legendary Steaks. Costco Wholesale is a new tenant that gives Atlanta's affluent residents and visitors even more reason to take care of all their dining and shopping activities right here.

The mall interior has also been completely renovated and includes upscale lighting treatments; new flooring, ceilings and handrails; new family restrooms with shoppers lounge; new vertical transportation; Wi-Fi access in Center Court; remodeled entrances; and stylish, soft seating areas throughout the common area.

New tenants include Chico’s, Soma, White House / Black Market, Aldo Shoes, XXI Forever , DSW, Aeropostale, Fresh to Order (f20), Perfumania, Body Central and Traffic Shoes. Stores that have undergone renovations or expansions include: Macy’s, Victoria’s Secret, bebe, Kids Foot Locker, Hallmark, Sunglass Hut and Lids.
